The No. 2 Shaft hoist machine room

The No. 2 Shaft hoist machine room is one of the national important cultural properties. It is a two story brick building with a floor area of 200m2 that contains three hoist machines. The bottom floor contains the entrance and concrete pedestal to put machines on. The jack engine is located on the stairs between the bottom and upper floors. There is a winch used to move heavy loads up and down on the mezzanine, to hoist machines onto the upper floor, and to move people upstairs.
